WHO ARE WE?

GET TO KNOW THE HERD

We are a family-run events company and gym (coming summer 2025) with a passion for weightlifting and strength training. The road to Mammoth Strength Club began in 2020 with the idea to create a welcoming and friendly, community-driven gym for fellow strength enthusiasts to train and achieve PBs. While we work on building the physical gym we continue to hold competitions such as Devon's Strongest Man & Woman and offering £40 a month online coaching and £40 an hour in-person coaching. Send us an email today at mammothstrengthclub@gmail.com to find out more. #jointheherd

I’ve been working with Mickey for coming up to a year now and I don’t think I could ever go without him now! He’s always been a message away for ANY question in or out the gym, I’m constantly bombarding him with all sorts and he replies to every single video or question I could ever ask. I definitely get my moneys worth 😂
The monthly plan he sends through has me feeling like I’m opening my Christmas presents, wondering what goodies are in store for me 😂 or if I have coal again (split squats)
He takes the time to talk to me about all my goals, long term and short term and then tailors it into the program and the results really speak for themselves.
I had been training since before covid on and off and was in the exact same position as when I started, I wanted to be a strong as I could possibly be but all my lifts were the same as when I started, my squat was around 80kg, bench was 60kg, overhead press was 55kg and deadlift was around 150kg, now my squat is 180kg+ bench is 115kg overhead press is 100kg+ I am hitting 200kg consistently on deadlift which is my weakest event but we have a long term plan to take it to the next level ready for some big comps in the next year.
I started the year in a low level beginner comp and now I’ve podiumed 3 times in a row and moving into the inters.
If you want to take your lifting seriously you need to hit Mickey up 💪🏻

SOPHIE

As someone who used to be absolutely terrified of walking in a gym by myself let alone competing infront of a huge crowd, I can hands down say that my growth in not only the gym but outside too is hands down due to Mickey and all the guys and girls at mammoth strength club! Having a coach that’s so invested in his clients and actually listens to what they need/want and working around them is hard to find, but Mickey goes above and beyond to help you achieve your goals and more. When I started lifting it was for something to do, something to keep me active, and because of the support and encouragement from Mickey it’s become more than just a hobby, it’s something I actually invest myself in and enjoy. There is no one I could recommend more for someone starting their gym journey or even just having a change of pace and wanting to go further with the gym. Mammoth Strength Club isn’t just a name, it’s a community that is built on supporting and encouraging others.
