Working 1:1 with a PT is a great way to get fitter and stronger but it's not for everyone. You get a trainer's full attention but may not feel it's as sociable. With Mammoth Small Group Personal Training in Exeter you get all the results and a real sense of community! You’ll benefit from expert Personal Training in groups of six or less all working towards their goals under the supervision of our expert strength and fitness coaches.

All our SGPT sessions are currently £8.50 for members and non-members alike on a pay-as-you-go basis or included in the £45 a month membership along with the other classes such as Yoga and Pilates.

SGPT sessions focus on structured, progressive training built around your goals. You’ll work through strength and conditioning blocks using a mix of free weights, functional equipment, and bodyweight movements. Coaches guide your technique, adjust intensity to suit your level, and track your progress over time. Every session is personal, purposeful, and designed to get real results in a small, supportive group setting. We currently run seven SGPT sessions a week.

 

Who Should Attend:

  • Total beginners through to experienced trainers are all welcome.

  • Anyone who thrives on training in a group environment and enjoys motivating and being motivated by others.

  • People looking to enhance their knowledge of training and techniques.

SGPT Session Descriptions:

​

FUNDAMENTALS = Focused on building endurance, stability and strength through targeted supplementary exercises. Each session will guide you through a thorough and personalised session, for example, shoulders & triceps, legs & abs, back & hamstrings etc.

​

STRENGTH = Sessions centred around compound movements. For example, deadlift, log press, atlas stones, weighted carries etc. These are open to all levels of participant looking to try strength sports such as Strongman/woman, Olympic Weightlifting, and Powerlifting. 

​

FEMALE ONLY = Similar to the STRENGTH sessions, except only available to women. These classes are fantastic for those looking to develop confidence and try strength sports in an inclusive and supportive female-only environment. 

​

CARDIO = Hybrid style sessions involving 50% strength work followed by 50% endurance and cardio training. A typical session might start off with squats and end with a ski erg/lunges combo to really raise the heart rate!
